Corey Munsell

M.A., M.S., RMHCI

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern | EMDR Trained

Corey is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who earned his Master’s degree in Counseling from Clarks Summit University in Pennsylvania and his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He enjoys working with individuals who are navigating stress, anxiety, and the effects of single-event or complex trauma. Corey is EMDR trained and is passionate about helping people understand how past experiences can continue to affect the way they see themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.

Corey also has a passion for working with couples and incorporates principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples recognize negative relationship patterns, improve communication, and build stronger emotional connections.

He also enjoys working with families who have children experiencing attention-related or autism-spectrum symptoms. Corey helps families better understand one another, recognize patterns that may be creating frustration, and develop healthier ways of communicating and connecting.

As a Christian counselor, Corey is happy to incorporate Christian faith and biblical perspectives into therapy when requested by the client. He believes counseling should be a collaborative process and that every person brings a unique story, strengths, and experiences into the therapeutic relationship.

Before becoming a counselor, Corey spent time overseas working with nonprofit organizations alongside his wife and also served as a youth pastor. These experiences helped shape his desire to walk alongside people during difficult seasons and meet them with compassion, understanding, and genuine care.

Outside of counseling, Corey enjoys playing guitar, flying FPV drones, spending time with his family, and finding opportunities to get outside and enjoy life.
