Registered mental health counselor intern (IMH6389)
Mark completed his masters in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Sarasota in 2007. He has a B.A. in Business from Florida State University. He left a successful career in medical sales where he mainly sold products which fixed damaged hearts. There, he felt God calling him help mend hearts with the truth of Jesus.
Mark follows the writings of Paul in Romans 12:2 in his counseling. He tries to help clients increase their awareness of generational patterns and to understand how they arrived at their current situation. He believes that this increased awareness will allow them to use their God-given discernment to make different decisions in the future.
Mark helped develop a new program in Family Court to assist high-conflict divorcing parents to focus on co-parenting and the needs of their children. He has been a co-leader of several pre-marital programs offered at his church and has worked with foster families to assist with adjustment needs.
Mark specializes in, but is not limited to, treating individuals with depression and anxiety, marital and couple’s issues, pre-marital growth, men’s issues, trauma and grief. He also sees children and adolescents who are having anger and adjustment issues.
Mark considers it a privilege to come along side families and individuals to help guide them in their journey towards healing. Mark is available for appointments Monday-Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
