Sage is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida.

Sage is professionally affiliated with the American Association of Christian Counselors and is trained in integrating faith into therapy upon request.

Sage specializes in working with individual adults. She has experience working in inpatient and outpatient care for substance dependency challenges and substance use disorders as well as outpatient care. She has worked with clients of all ages with various concerns including, but not limited to:

Adjustment Issues (feeling stuck, transitioning season, fear of future)
Grief 
Relationship Issues (conflict, boundary setting, codependency)
Self Esteem
Substance Dependency Challenges (maintenance)
Trauma History (emotional, mental, and spiritual)

In therapy sessions, Sage utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy with a person-centered approach. She believes that having a style that is always adapting and changing to the benefit of the individuality of each client is important. Mindfulness, EMDR, and stability training are cornerstones of her approach as well.

Sage was born and raised in the Tampa area, and although she has lived in different parts of Florida and North Carolina, she is thrilled to be back in her hometown and favorite city. 

When she isn’t working, she enjoys training her chocolate lab, Maple, with the goal of Maple becoming a certified therapy dog in order to aid in crisis intervention in volunteer settings.
